INSTRUCTIONS

PAYMENT METHODS:

• Our normal payment method is by attorney check or money order.  Canadian clients:  please send the fee is USD.
• Payment may be made by Pay Pal - they will send you a link and you may pay by credit card or checking account.  There is a 4.00 per $100 pay pal convenience fee, we will calculate and tell you the entire amount to send us.     You do not need to have a Pay Pal account to use this feature.
• Pro-Se clients must pay by money order or Pay Pal in advance.
• We accept e-docs up to 15-18 pages.  Beyond 18 pages is a 20 cent per page fee.  Call to advise us your e-docs are coming.  Include in the email "We promise to pay " $", and include the quoted fee and a scan of the check you will be sending us.  Please send us your check the same or the next day.
• Mailing - Mail your documents and clearly mark "Service copy" on the copy or original to be served, and "Return" on any paper you want returned to you.   Please include the quoted payment in advance.  A self addressed stamped envelope is always appreciated.

  SENDING YOUR DOCUMENTS.

  • Call us and notify us that your papers are on the way.  Be sure to tell us how you are sending us the papers (fax, UPS, FedEx, regular mail).  Do not send papers without calling us first. 
  • We accept PDF downloads via e-mail.
  • When reserving a RUSH service, we require the full payment in advance via Pay Pal at the time you notify us of the RUSH request. We do this so we can ensure that a server is standing by to serve your papers.  This is a guaranteed service and you will be placed on our RUSH schedule.  Double your money back if not served on time.
  • Please send us 2 copies of the writ, order or summons.   Please advise us if  you want the "COPY" served, or the "ORIGINAL" served.  Please place a sticky  note on the summons that must be returned to the court. 
  • Our normal method of communication is e-mail.  Please enclose your e-mail for status and/or questions.

          INFORMATION WE NEED FROM YOU:

   

  • Please advise us if this is 'PERSONAL ONLY' or if another competent adult or family member residing in the household may be served. This is very important.
  • If 'SUBSTITUTE" service is permitted, please advise us of the corresponding court rule indicating the minimum age and any special requirements i.e. can only serve a family member.

   

      HARD TO SERVE:

   

  • We need to know in advance if you are trying to serve an "avoider" or someone who will attempt to dodge service.  If so, you must pay the "hard to serve" fee which will help ensure your papers will be quickly, and correctly served.  The fee is determined by the complexity of the job.  You will be asked to send us a picture of the defendant or witness, a description, age, height, etc.  including a description of the vehicle used, make, model, color, tag or state of tag (if known), the type of work and hours, and the place of employment (if known) and any other pertinent information.

        WHAT YOU MAY EXPECT WHEN YOU SEND US YOUR DOCUMENTS:

•         Routine service:  We start the job within 72 hours of receipt and complete all 4 attempts within 5 to 7 days.  We will make an early morning, afternoon, late evening and a Saturday attempts.
•         Rush service:  We will make two attempts per day for two days, for a total of 4 attempts. 
•         Problems with your address:  If you send us a bad or incorrect address, our P.I. will attempt to correct the address at no fee.  If your address was transposed or incomplete, we will serve it at the address you provided with our corrected information.  No charge.  If we find a completely new address, you will pay for a service at a second address.  There is no charge for the new address, just the service at the new address. 
•         We normally discount a 2nd paper to the same person or a different person at the same address. 

       AFTER THE SERVICE:

•         We will notify you by email that it has been served.  Within a few days we will scan and email a proof of service, and then mail the original notarized affidavit (proof of service) via US first class mail or you may enclose your FedEx (or UPS) account number or label for express return of proof of service.  Please notify us in advance if you need your proof of service sooner than 3 to 4 days.

Not in a hurry?  We will serve your papers within 72 hours for $75.00

For only $25.00 more we will RUSH serve your papers the next day.

Same day service (within hours)  $50 additional premium
